AEG COMPLETES SUPPLY CHAIN BENCHMARKING STUDY FOR THE UTILITY PURCHASING MANAGEMENT GROUP (UPMG) CONFERENCE IN BOSTON, SEPTEMBER 24TH THROUGH 27TH

Utilities from around the country participate in this annual benchmarking study conducted by AEG. Critical supply chain metrics are compared and reported on in a comprehensive report. Participants are offered various tools to help them evaluate performance, and all are included in a valuable networking group that focuses directly on the Supply Chain Process.

AEG has conducted the Supply Chain Benchmarking Study for the UPMG for the past three years. Participation in the study has grown from 13 companies in 2004, to 21 in 2005, and this year 24 companies have joined the study. Over eighty metrics are included in the final report covering twelve different supply chain categories. In addition to a complete report of critical metrics, participants receive a score card that compares each company’s performance against all participants to display relative scoring in the areas of efficiency and effectiveness of critical indices.
